Hand Crafted Wood Products Using Native and Reclaimed Lumber

Barn Door Artisans began in 2020 with the goal of making beautiful, unique pieces out of reclaimed wood,  upcycled hardware (e.g. old player pianos), and authentic, original historical documents. The designs are inspired by life in Appalachia, the legacy of the materials used, and the artist's travels abroad. We hope that sharing the historical and cultural legacy of objects and their materials will help people enrich their lives and sense of investment in their homes, whether that home be one's literal home or the cultural landscape they inhabit.

The bowls and tables made at Barn Door Artisans are sourced locally from small woodlots. The wood is extracted in a sustainable manner, mostly from naturally fallen trees or trees being cut for forest management. We do not use wood from clearcutting or large scale industrial sources.
